Police are investigating the death of 20-year-old Matthew Mathias from Medford who was hit by a car while out for a jog.
It happened around 8:30 Sunday night in the northbound lane of State Highway 13 in the Taylor County town of Medford.
The Taylor County Dispatch Center received a report of an unknown person in dark clothing running in the road.
Officers were en route when another call came in from a driver who said he had just hit someone on the road.
Mathias was brought to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
