Wisconsin is joining 12 other states in legal action against the Federal Environmental Protection Agency. It claims the EPA doesn't adopt strong emission standards to better regulate the release of air pollution.
Wisconsin Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager says the clean air act requires the EPA to review and revise admission standards.
She says the revised standards fail to regulate power plant emissions of carbon dioxide.
Lautenschlager also says the standards for other harmful air pollutants are lax.
