The “Fonz” is now in bronze.

Dozens of people lining the Milwaukee River downtown cheered as a bronze statue of the "Happy Days" character Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli was unveiled Tuesday.

Actor Henry Winkler stroked his hair and smiled as he inspected the life-size, bronze statue of his leather-jacket wearing character from the television show.

Winkler praised the sculptor's work and called the statue an amazing honor.

"Happy Days" ran from 1974 to 1984 and was based in Milwaukee.
