"Filling the Dream" Fundraiser

By  |

It might not sound possible, but for a while Saturday, filling up your gas tank will actually help you feel good.
Part of the cost of gas will be donated to Special Olympics. For nine hours, at all Mega Express gas stations in Eau Claire and Altoona, five cents of every gallon will help people with cognitive disabilities. And those eight stations will be full service. Law enforcent officers, special olympics athletes and other volunteers will pump your gas and wash your windshield for you.
Andrea Sullivan, with the Special Olympics says, "Mega pumps 50,000 gallons a day. Unbelievable. So even if you pump five gallons of gas, we'd be happy to have you come." The first ever filling the dream fundraiser starts at eight Saturday morning and runs through five o'clock.
