A cool start to the day, much like Saturday we should start off with some cloud cover that will give way to some sunshine later on. Early morning lows in the lower 60s for most areas. Unlike Saturday though we won't see the warm temperatures. Today's highs are only expected to be in the mid 70s.
High pressure centered to the north on today will bring the return of some sunshine this afternoon. It will be more pleasant with dew points falling back in the comfortable range, making for a great finish to the weekend. Winds today will be light, around 7 miles per hour from the east. Rain showers will develop today to our west but should stay out of our area until later today. I think we will remain dry until the late evening or even overnight hours.
The start of the work week we will see additional rain chances, somewhat widespread on Monday and clearing up on Tuesday. A low pressure system and front are forecast to slide through from the west, dropping temperatures a bit and giving us a better chance of more concentrated rain. Later in the week the jet stream will lift a bit further north, allowing for a warm up back into the mid 80s by Thursday. Rain chances also increase some for next weekend.
