Veterinarians in Eau Claire expect to give rabies shots to about a thousand cats and dogs this weekend at Memorial High School.
While only charging their owners 9-bucks each.
The Eau Claire City and County Health Department is teaming up with the vets to offer pet owners an affordable solution to what can usually be an expensive endeavor.
"Rabies is a deadly disease for not only pets, but people as well and we wanted to give people a way to keep their pets safe as well as people, " Veterinarian Bob Bohacek said.
This is the 22nd year for the biannual clinic.
Anyone still looking to get their pet vaccinated can do it between 1-and-3 Sunday at the school.
A similar clinic was also held Saturday in Augusta.
