Film crews will soon be at work making a full-length movie in Barron. The city and Chamber of Commerce are paying $2,500 to have the film made by a company called ‘My Town Pictures.’
Plans call for the film to be done in time to debut at Barron’s Fall Fest on September 15th.
People from Barron will do the acting, including about 25 speaking roles.
Director Scott Thompson recently completed a similar film in nearby Cumberland, due to debut next week. Thompson says he has the basics of the fictional story worked out for the Barron film, and he'll be filling in the script based on the talent at the tryouts.
Auditions were done last Wednesday, and the film is to be shot in late June.
