Charges are expected against two men for their alleged role in the attack on three Sparta police officers.
Three Sparta officers were injured while responding to noise complaint around 2:15 Saturday morning.
Police found an underage drinking party when they arrived at the house on the 300-block of South Court Street.
As they investigated the party, a man grabbed an officer and hit him in the chest.
At the same time, another man jumped on the officer's back and tried to put him in a headlock.
One of the men fled back into the house, and continued to fight when officers attempted to arrest him.
Police used pepper spray and a taser to subdue him.
The three officers were taken to Sparta hospital where they were treated and released.
Two other men were arrested for their involvement with the underage party.
