A 73-year-old woman is being treated for leg, back, and neck injuries after the truck she was driving crashed Monday morning.
The Crawford County Sheriff's Department says Mary Kate McGovern of Eastman was driving south on Wall Ridge when she lost her brakes, went over an embankment, and flipped over. McGovern had to be extricated by Prairie Du Chien EMS, Eastman Fire Department, and Eastman First Responders.
She was taken by ambulance to Prairie Du Chien Memorial Hospital, and then was airlifted to La Crosse. The sheriff's department also says that McGovern was wearing a seat belt.
