A local mining company has resumed normal operations after the partial failure of an earthen pond levee.
A segment of County Road W on the Jackson-Trempealeau County line near Taylor was closed last week.
Emergency crews evacuated neighbors, and pumped thousands of gallons of water out of the pond into another nearby pond.
Monday, Badger Mining Corporation said pond levels reached a safe level and there is no longer any threat to the public.
