Crews have recovered a body from Lake Monona in Madison near an area they had previously searched for a missing swimmer.

The Dane County Sheriff's Department and coroner were on the scene Thursday at the south side of Madison’s isthmus.

The body was recovered not far from where authorities had been searching for a missing swimmer. Forty-year-old Erik Jensen of Cottage Grove disappeared August 17 after going for a swim in Lake Monona.
