The man convicted of driving drunk, hitting two women, and killing one of them will spend time in prison.
28-year-old Gerald Crowe was sentenced to three years in prison and four years of extended supervision.
He was also ordered to pay for the funeral expenses.
The Sawyer County Sheriff's Department says in October, Crowe hit two women on the road and then took off, hiding out in the LCO Casino.
26-year-old Brandi Corbine was killed.
Investigators say it all started when the SUV she was riding in, flipped on Highway B east of Hayward. Corbine was thrown onto the road.
Another woman stopped to help. That's when investigators say Crowe hit them both.
The Good Samaritan was hurt.
