The park didn't always look this good, but people here are glad to have it back.
"Its been going great as you can see around its improved immensely we've had a wonderful crew working everybody's been working together real good , “says Soldiers Grove President Laurel Hestetune.
Just a few months ago flood waters punished this small park in soldiers grove leaving almost nothing behind.
"It was devastating right where we are standing here was nothing but a big hole with water in it behind me was all gone, “ says Hestetune
The rebuilding process has been long, hard and expensive but Hestetune says everyone came together to help out.
“Anybody who has helped in any way has been greatly appreciated especially on my part and everybody in the community's part to, “says Hestetune
The park is almost back to normal but Shana Brown says she and her son lost one of their favorite spots in the village.
“Around this area there is not much for kids to do except go to the park honestly and with out it it was a disappointment,” says Brown.
Hestetune says the last step in getting the park and the town back to normal is finishing the new tennis courts.
The park is scheduled to be finished by next spring.
