Anti-Gay Marriage Ban Group Canvasses Entire State Saturday

Members of the gay rights group Fair Wisconsin will be going door-to-door in communities across Wisconsin Saturday.

They're speaking out against the November referendum which asks voters whether to approve a constitutional amendment that would bar the state from recognizing same-sex marriages.

Richard Warner of Wausau says they want to make voters aware that the referendum would permanently deny civil unions and domestic partner benefits.

The Family Research Institute of Wisconsin has started a grassroots effort of its own in support of the constitutional amendment. The group advocates Judeo-Christian principles and values. A group in Eau Claire will begin canvassing the city at 10:00am Saturday.
