Two Teens Charged After Setting Fires in Park

Prosecutors filed criminal charges against two teenagers after police say one of them admittedly started nearly a half dozen fires during the summer.

Officers arrested Rice Lake 17-year-olds Luke McGowan and Dylan Rogowski in August after finding them with stolen property during a traffic stop.

A criminal complaint shows Rogowski told investigators that he's responsible for four fires at Roux Park in Rice Lake, as well as a fire in the high school's dumpster, vandalism at the baseball dugouts, and a smashed vending machine at the municipal pool.

If convicted, McGowan and Rogowski could serve more than seven years in prison.

The district attorney is also considering whether to charge three other teenagers, who are juveniles.

Investigators found and arrested them after they arrested McGowan and Rogowski.
