A former assistant wrestling coach charged with sexually assaulting a female student pleaded guilty on Monday.
25-year-old Brian Scheps of Almena was sentenced to two years probation and 60 days in jail.
Prosecutors say he had sex with a female student in the wrestling room at Turtle Lake School last December.
Court documents show he told the girl not to tell anyone, because he could get in trouble.
Turtle Lake District Administrator Chuck Dunlop says Scheps is no longer employed by the school district.
