A United Express flight overran the runway Tuesday afternoon after landing at Central Wisconsin Airport.
44 passengers and 3 crew members were aboard United Flight 6979 but no one was injured. Soon after landing at about 4 p-m, ended up in the mud about 400 or 500 feet from the runway.
Passengers on the flight from Chicago O’Hare said the plane circled twice before the landing and that it was raining at the time. The airport manager said he didn't know why the plane overran the runway.
