The state has a long list of surplus land it's interested in selling.
The property ranges from 408 acres at the Waupun prison farm to a half-acre parking lot in downtown Madison.

Some of the land has great development potential. Some doesn't. Like eight acres on the Sand Ridge treatment center for sexual predators at Mauston.
The Department of Administration has a list of excess properties compiled by state officials and consultants. The state Building Commission must approve the sales.
