A computer chip company based in Eau Claire has announced it’s been sold to a Canadian business. Silicon Logic Engineering employs about 40 people, and was sold to Tundra Semi Conductor of Ottawa, Canada for $14 million.
The company provides chip engineering design services on high-end routers for Internet services, supercomputers and satellites. Tundra says the acquisition will strengthen its role in providing semiconductor systems. All Silicon Logic employees are expected to remain at the Eau Claire facility.
