Staff at a Rice Lake clinic say they did what they were trained to do relating to an incident where a girl passed out in their care.
Meanwhile, investigators and prosecutors are meeting with medical examiners to try and pinpoint exactly what happened to the seven-year-old. Investigators say Angellika Arndt of Rusk County was unresponsive when they were called to the clinic after being restrained by staff members. She died the next day.
A spokesman for the Northwest Counseling and Guidance Clinic says the clinic completed an internal review that cleared staff members. He says the hold is used only if a child is in danger of harming him or herself or another person. He says the girl was restrained until she calmed down and was released but she passed out later.
