Authorities release the name of the boy hit by a school bus.

The boy killed when he was hit by a school bus yesterday in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, has been identified.

Police say ten year old Austin Gagner was hit by the bus about 7:45 AM yesterday as he was crossing a street on his way to school. Police believe Gagner was on a skateboard at the time.

Gagner was a fourth grader at Hilltop Elementary School.

His mother, Jennifer Parker, says her son got along with everybody and would do anything he was asked to do.

Superintendent Paul Vine says the bus driver had delivered students to one of the district schools and was empty when it rounded the corner and struck the child.

The bus is owned by S&J Smith Corporation in Rice Lake, which referred comment to the school district.
