CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WEAU) -- A 22-year-old man, seriously hurt in an accident over the summer was handed the keys to a new car on Wednesday.
Brady Wolfe is the 2nd winner in this year's 90 Days of Giving. He was nominated by his mom and aunt to win the new car from Morrie's Mazda and $500 worth of gas from Gordy's County Market.
"I had no idea, I didn't know if it was just busy like camera people," he said about all the activity in the lobby.
Family by his side, all of them together got their first look at his new ride.
"You have no idea how much it means to me, I can't even put it into words how it feels," he said.
It has been a tough few months for Brady. In August, he was seriously hurt when the car he was driving hit a semi. His passenger, 19-year-old Caston Arnold, was killed in the accident.
Four months later Brady is still recovering. His mom and aunt nominated him, knowing the physical and emotional challenges he has had to face.
"It's very hard, it's such a tragedy all the way around and everything," he said.
But Brady says he has had a big support network.
"Family has been really good, got a girlfriend recently," he added.
About 400 nominations were submitted. This was another reason for a family to come together again.
"The last time we were together we weren't quite sure we would all be together again and we are so thank you again," said Melissa Dickson, his aunt.
