NEW INFORMATION: Names of pedestrians hit released

Chippewa County (WEAU) - Deputies say alcohol was not a factor in a crash that sent three teenagers to the hospital Tuesday night.

One of the teens, Dalton Hazelton, a 16-year-old from New Auburn is still hospitalized in Eau Claire. Diona Pitts, 17, from Cameron was released from the hospital as was Paige Young, 19, from New Auburn.

Officers say the investigation continues, but say the 23-year-old driver of the Chevy Avalanche is from Chetek. Deputies say the teenagers were walking with the flow of traffic in a dark area of County Highway SS. Investigators say it's a 35 mile per hour zone.
