Experts gather at the University of Minnesota this week to talk about the lessons of the Interstate 35-W bridge collapse.
The bridge fell into the Mississippi River on August 1, 2007, killing 13 and injuring 145.
A free symposium on Thursday and Friday includes readings, music and discussions about the disaster's impact on everything from bridge design to the Mississippi River. The event is open to the public.
The replacement bridge opened to traffic last month, but speakers say the collapse is still felt among victims and their families.
