I'm very glad Chippewa Falls said no to a ban. I'm from Illinois, and I've seen the harm that the Illinois statewide ban has done to local businesses throughout the state. Glad to see unlike Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls has a city council that truly cares about not caving in to the deceptive lobbying of anti-smoking groups, and believes in freedom of choice to all private businesses on the smoking issue!
Too bad for the health of both non-smoking staff and customers. Let's hope that the state legislature soon does it's job and passes a statewide ban. Most states have already done so.
Glad to see it end. we have alot more things to do and work on than that!! The state will do whats best for us un the long run.. give a little time, good job MikeDog an Buckhorn, for fighting for our rights...
Well at least on City Council has some sense around here.
I can see that Chippewa Falls cares more about it's buisness than Eau Claire. The smoking ban should be up to the buisness not the goverment. As a non-smoker, I'll be spending more time in Chippewa Falls with my smoking and non-smoking friends. Maybe Eau Claire should work on the downtown area like they did with the smoking ban. I've never seen so many backwards people in my life running a city.
