A man is arrested after he admits to stealing dozens of copper balls from his company and having his wife sell them at a scrap yard.

Police Chief, Wayne Nehring, says Stephen Hryniewiecki admitted to pocketing the two to three pound copper balls from TTM Technologies in Chippewa Falls. The Chief says he took a couple at a time and his wife Rita then sold them to an Eau Claire scrap yard. The third time she showed up, Spicklers Salvage and Equipment called the police.

Nehring says the copper added up to more than 400 pounds and is valued at $1,500 dollars. He says Rita Hryniewiecki could face charges in Eau Claire County.
