Flynn elementary is one of only ten schools around the country to be recognized for a new way of teaching, called the "responsive classroom approach."

The program integrates seven different principals emphasizing the concept that how children learn, is as important as what they learn.

Two Minnesota schools were also honored at the conference in Massachusetts.
