Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he didn't get a painkilling injection for his right shoulder last weekend
Coach Mike McCarthy is vague on team policy when it comes to those injections. They are legal and not against NFL rules, but some in the medical profession question the ethics.
McCarthy said Wednesday that player safety is at the forefront of every medical decision. He says there are other ways to deal with the pain of an injury.
Previously, cornerback Charles Woodson told the Wisconsin State Journal that he receives a shot for his broken toe before games.
