Veterans have less than a week to file for an economic stimulus check

The deadline is October 15.

Those who are eligible do not have to fill out an entire tax form. They only need to fill out a few lines on a 1040A form

Those who have already filed 2007 returns showing $3,000 won't have to file any other forms

Others may need to amend a previously filed tax return to include benefits to reach the $3,000 qualifying income level
