Officers Looking For Suspect After Bank Robbery Attempt and High Speed Chase
Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk says the man tried to rob the Holcombe Bank around 3:30 p.m. and got away in a bright red Chevy pickup truck

Officers are looking for a man after a robbery attempt at a bank. Chippewa County Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk says a man tried to rob the Holcombe Bank on Highway 27 around 3:30 p.m. Friday. Holcombe is in Chippewa County northeast of Chippewa Falls.
Kowalczyk says the man is driving a bright red Chevy club cab pickup truck with loud exhaust pipes. Kowalczyk says the man led officers on a high speed chase through Chippewa County. He was last seen on County Highway E south of Highway Z. Sheriff Kowalczyk and the Civil Air Patrol were taking off around 4:30 p.m. to try to spot the truck from the air.
