A national child protection training center in Winona now has a comprehensive facility.
The training center dedicated its new headquarters on the Winona State University campus.
Students, prosecutors, law enforcement officers, social workers and child protection professionals will use the facility for training in forensic investigation and interviewing in suspected child abuse cases
The training center director says the education helps quickly confirm claims of abuse while minimizing additional trauma to young victims.
