President Bush signed a bill into law that will make it easier for deployed military service members to get out of cell phone contracts.
Senator Russ Feingold introduced the measure in 2006, after learning Wisconsin troops were being forced to pay early termination fees, or for services they couldn't use overseas.
The Veterans' Benefits Enhancement Act will expand rights that service members currently have to terminate similar contracts like residential and automobile leases without penalty.
The Senate passed the bill in April.
