MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (AP) -- The Michigan Republican Party says Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is set to speak at a September conference on Mackinac Island as he seeks the GOP nomination for president.

In a Tuesday news release, the Michigan Republican Party said Walker has confirmed he will attend and speak at the 31st Biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference at the island's Grand Hotel. The party said other special guests would be announced later.
