EAU CLAIRE, Wis (WEAU)--The annual Festival in the Pines kicked off in Carson Park Saturday (8/24)
The event brings in dozens of vendors, selling clothes, crafts and even lawn decorations. There's a variety of performances for the whole family too. Event coordinators say more than 12,000 people are expected to attend the event.
“We had a great first day for the 31st annual Festival in the Pines. Of course the rain slowed things down a little bit, instead of having a thousand people in a first half hour we only had 600. So that kind of spread the day a little bit to get things going. But the sun had come out. We're having a good turnout considering a slow start. We're expecting even a better turn out for tomorrow (Sunday 8/26),” Festival Coordinator Dan Ropa said.
