Sheboygan is putting the finishing touches on a new Veterans Memorial dedicated to Lao, Hmong and American soldiers who died in the Vietnam War.
>
The monument will be dedicated on Saturday in front of dozens of expected dignitaries -- including Governor Doyle and Congressman Mark Green.
>
The $140,000 circular memorial in Deland Park is 44 feet in diameter. It tells the story of the Hmong and Lao soldiers who died fighting the North Vietnamese army on the Vietnam War's Laotian front -- known as the Secret War.

The granite panels of the memorial are engraved with the names of hundreds who died, although no official records exist.
