Beware US Gold Buyers in NYC!! As a test I sent a couple of rings and chains to them totaling just under 3 pennyweight in 10K items and just over 3 pennyweight in 14K items. They ended up averaging the total weight and the Daily Payout amounts for 10K and 14K gold published on their website. Because of this averaging I ended up with $30 less than expected. This technique was never mentioned on their website or by their customer service people I spoke with before sending my items. They also claimed they would identify the 7 ring stones and make an offer, which they didn't do. The customer service rep that called with the offer even got impatient when I questioned him about the stones (I expected the stones were of no value would have preferred some information about them). I would have gotten the same final amount if I had sold to a local coin shop the day before. BEWARE! US gold Buyers does not fully disclose their methods either on their website or through customer service.

Wow! Great article. After shopping for the best price locally, I decided to try out US Gold Buyers. I am very impressed with the professionalism, expedited service and the best payout. Well recommended! Thank you.

Its imperative to do your own research. This report is pretty timely for me because over the last 2 weeks I spoke with a few local pawn shops and some online pawn shops. I had some old gold necklaces that I wanted to get rid of, long story short I ended up selling to an online pawn shop. It was great because I didnt have to leave me home. I spoke with a support person there 3 times, who made me feel comfortable sending my jewelry through the mail. They promised a 10 day money back gurantee if I was not happy with my payout. I ended up getting $125, which was $25 more than what the local pawn shop was going to give me. I recommend this online pawn shop, but remember to always do your own research. - TM

I am thinking that at this point in time people should be turning cash into gold, not the other way around.
