A Democrat with a background in journalism, who has worked in the offices of Congressman Ron Kind, Kathleen Falk, and Peg Lautenschlager is seeking to unseat the incumbent Secretary of State in the upcoming primary.
Scot Ross wants fair, clean elections, more accountability of special interest groups, and wants to keep same day voter registration.
"I don't think at this point in time we should be reducing the number of people who are involved in civic participation and in the community," says Scot Ross. "I think we should be encouraging that, that's what I'd like to do as Secretary of State."
Ross will face Democratic incumbent Doug La Follette in the September primary. Seeking the Republican nomination are R.J. DeBauter and Sandy Sullivan. Michael LaForest is running on the Wisconsin Green party ticket.
