A Lao, Hmong, and American veteran's memorial in Sheboygan includes stories of thousands of Hmong and Lao soldiers who died fighting the Communist North Vietnamese Army.

The monument was unveiled this weekend. Names of those who died are inscribed in granite. The chairman of the memorial committee says it celebrates those sacrifices and teaches the public about the Hmong refugee migration to the United States. The monument cost about $140,000, and was funded through private donations.
