Voters around Wisconsin might get to see performances at the polls in future years.
That's according to Pegi Taylor, a co-producer with the nonprofit My Vote Performs.
Taylor helped organized voting-themed performances at 11 polling places in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
They included music, dance, video, puppetry, interactive sculpture and poetry.
Taylor says officials in Janesville, Madison and Sheboygan have inquired about performances during future elections.
She says the performances were to celebrate and encourage discussion about voting and citizenship and entertainment people waiting to vote.
Americans for the Arts says poll performances have become more common over the past decade or so, but the Milwaukee effort was unique because it had a voting theme.
