Collection bins have been set up near the front of the store for customers to donate school supplies. This is the first year this campaign has taken place in Eau Claire.
Major Harold Baugh of the salvation army says they hope to collect enough supplies to help at least 100 low income students in the Eau Claire area.
"We will be working with other social service agencies and letting them know when distribution times are and as people come in and apply for help, we'll have the supplies there to give to the families,” said Major Harold Baugh of the Salvation Army.
People who are interested in donating have until August 12.
