The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to certify a new kind of jet for flight today in Oshkosh.

The jet is said to be inexpensive and fast, part of a new class called "very light jets" (VLJ’s).

The acting Transportation Secretary is expected to announce the certification today at the Airventure Air Show.

VLJ's generally have two engines, five or six passenger seats, and an automated cockpit, and cost half as much as the most inexpensive business jet now in service.

One aviation expert say the small jets will be used as air taxis.
