The Crawford County Sheriff's Department and the State Patrol are investigating a crash involving a Prairie du Chien police car.

Police say the patrol car had its emergency lights on as it traveled southbound on Marquette Road. That's when a vehicle pulled into a controlled intersection and collided with the squad car.

Police say both cars were severely damaged; both drivers were taken to a Prairie du Chien hospital.
