Gov. Jim Doyle talked to President-elect Barack Obama's transition team, but it wasn't about a job.
Doyle spokesman Lee Sensenbrenner says that's what the governor told reporters Monday in Lac du Flambeau where he was attending an economic development meeting. Sensenbrenner says he did not know what the call with the Obama transition team was about.
Sensenbrenner said the governor on Monday reaffirmed earlier comments he has made that he is not seeking a position in the Obama administration and is focused on being governor.
Doyle is midway through his second term and is widely expected to run for a third term in 2010. He has been raising money for that re-election bid, even though he has not officially announced yet.
