STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) -- A shooting incident in Stevens Point has taken a strange twist.
Authorities say a 23-year-old woman accused of shooting the 50-year-old man had been hired by the victim's wife to kill him, but he survived despite being wounded four times.
Now the wife, the 23-year-old and a 25-year-old man are being held on $50,000 cash bond each that was set Thursday, pending formal charges in the case.
The victim was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield where he's being treated.
The shooting Tuesday caused nearby Stevens Point High School to be temporarily locked down.
