When Johnny Depp came to Columbus to play famed bank robber John Dillinger, it was local officials who were left holding the bag.
And now they're fighting over who's going to pay a $116,000 bill from the filming of Depp's film "Public Enemies."
The bill is for repairs to a county highway used as a detour during filming. The road collapsed under the increased traffic.
Dodge County filed a claim against the city to get the money earlier this month. But so far, the city has refused to pay.
Columbus Mayor Nancy Osterhaus says she's optimistic the repair costs can be shared by a variety of entities, including the city, county and film studio. She says talks are ongoing with all of them.
