The Portage County district attorney says a Rosholt woman offered another woman $4,000 to kill her husband, who survived despite being shot four times.
Judge Thomas Flugaur has ruled prosecutors presented enough evidence to believe the two women and a man committed the crime. DA Tom Eagon says formal charges will be filed Dec. 2.
Tuesday afternoon's shooting at a park in Stevens Point seriously wounded 50-year-old James Glodowski of Rosholt.
According to Eagon, Linda Dietze of Plover shot Glodowski on behalf of his wife, Carla Glodowski, who believed she was in a relationship with Carlos Cummings of Stevens Point. Cummings drove Dietze to meet the victim at the park.
Eagon says Carla Glodowski told Cummings she couldn't get a divorce from her husband and he needed to be "gotten rid of."
The DA says Cummings knew someone who had a gun.
