Snowmobilers from around the area are going to have to wait until at least December 15 to ride some public trails.
The Eau Claire County state funded snowmobile trails will remain closed, regardless of snow conditions, until after the end of gun deer season.
After that, the county parks and forest department will announce the trails opening based on snow conditions.
Neighboring counties like Clark, Trempealeau, Dunn, and Chippewa will also remain close until after the deer gun season.
