EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A big fundraiser has wrapped up to benefit the United Cerebral Palsy of West Central Wisconsin.
WEAU broadcast the 34th annual Starfest Telethon for UCP live from noon until 6 p.m.
The fundraiser collected a record amount of donations at $253,607, all given from the community and local businesses.
Several celebrity guests and volunteers were working the phones all day at LE Phillips Senior Center in Eau Claire.
Organizers say the money will help hundreds of families in the surrounding 12 counties affected by cerebral palsy.
If you weren't watching the live broadcast of the telethon, you may have been enjoying the 70 degree heated tent at the Brackett Bar and Grill with live music, food and drinks.
Snow Biz is also a big part of the UCP telethon with hundreds folks turning up to be a part of the fundraiser while having fun.
Some lucky winners walked away with prizes like a brand new snowmobile or gift certificates worth $1,000.
