It wasn't just deer stands that were packed this weekend. It was standing room only at one maternity wing.

Doctor Leonard Ezenagu says in 12 years he's never had such a rush for rooms. By the time his shift was over, he was one doctor who was ready for a nap...or five.

Taylor, Valerie, Claire, Samantha and Amelia: Five little angels who created quite a ruckus at Luther Midelfort this weekend.

"I don't want to say all hell broke loose, but almost all hell broke loose,” says Dr. Ezenagu with a laugh.

From just after three a.m. until just quarter to seven, the little ladies kept their doctor running...literally.

"I never had a night or day like that before,” he says. "When I was about to finish in one room, I was called to the next room. One of the nurses was able to take care, while I was able to catch the baby in the next room."

"I'm sure it was more chaotic on the nurses’ end and the doctor’s end who was running around, but they made us feel like it was just us in our labor and delivery," says Carmen Risen.

Except maybe for the fact that pre Samantha Grace, Carmen and her husband Daniel had to spend some time waiting for a bed.

"The rooms were full and they were getting one ready for us, so they made us comfortable in the little lobby in the hallway," Carmen says.

"This is our new baby girl," Mandy Schoelzel says holding her newborn.

Three babies and two hours earlier, Mandy and her husband Shawn Schoelzel started things off with little Taylor Jo. She says Saturday is a story all five baby girls can share.

"It was one morning that a lot of families are going to remember," Mandy tells us smiling.

"My favorite part is that everyone had a very good outcome," Dr. Ezenagu says leaving one tired doctor with five very happy endings.

Doctor Ezenagu says he could not have delivered all the girls on his own and gives a lot of credit to all his staff.

We’re happy to report that everyone is doing well. That includes babies, mamas and doctor.
