Woman's Name Released In Crash Death

We now know the name of the woman who was killed during a traffic crash Monday night.
The Chippewa County Sheriff's Department says 56-year-old Darlene Sauer of Eau Claire died in the wreck. Officers say she was driving Monday night on State Highway 29 near County Road G, east of Boyd. Her mini-van went off the road, hit a guardrail, and went down the embankment. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

Five people were hurt and one woman died in separate crashes in Chippewa County Monday night.
The Sheriff's Department says 8 people from the same family were traveling east on Highway 29 when the driver lost control on slippery roads and rolled into a ditch. The driver and two of the passengers were wearing seatbelts and were not hurt. The other five passengers were not wearing seatbelts and had various injuries.
Several minutes after that crash, crews were called to the scene of another crash near the intersection of Highway 29 and County Highway G. A 56-year-old woman was driving a minivan, when it lost control on the road and hit a guardrail. She was taken to a Marshfield hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
